What are Coconut Fiber and Coconut Peat?

In Greenville Agro Corporation, we value nature as it is the primary source of our products. We do our best efforts to minimize waste and be an advocate in saving biodiversity. Thus, we are also producing non-food products from seemingly coconut leftovers, but really are useful and eco-friendly products. These are Coconut Fiber and Coconut Peat.

The Coconut fiber

Coconut fiber is a material pulled out between the internal shell and the outer coat of the coconut or the husk. The fiber is combined with mattress fiber and coir dust and waste to strengthen each strand. Before farmers just burn all the husks minding that they are just waste. This old-school act harms our atmosphere. Greenville Agro Corporation thought that instead of burning and waste the husks, it would be better to do something out of the leftover coconut husks. Hence, the coconut fiber is manufactured. Now, Greenville coconut fiber is used as ropes, brushes, doormats, carpets, and mattresses. Our fishermen also take advantage of our coconut fiber’s durability for it can withstand harsh climate conditions.

Coconut Peat - Greenville Agro Corporation

The Coconut Peat

Coconut peat, on the other hand, is the powdery material leftover in the processing of the coconut fiber. Coconut peat is mostly used in gardening because of its water holding capacity, lignin, cellulose content and carbon-nitrogen content. Its participation in soil makes the plants grow healthier. Coconut peats are used with other organic materials to aid crop fields, horticulture, floriculture. It is also utilized in hydroponic system to aid the growth of flowers and other plants in a controlled setup. Even in mushroom cultivation coconut peats are present and needed.

Why Choose Greenville Coconut Fiber and Coconut Peat?

Not only are we passionate in consumer satisfaction and efficient operations, but we are also committed to saving Mother Earth. The nature gives our raw materials in all of our products; therefore it is neither fair nor justifiable if we participate in damaging the nature that gives income to thousands of Greenville’s workers.

By manufacturing further products using raw material leftovers, we are minimizing waste that could have been in some landfill or if unfortunate, in the ocean. We have seen the consequences of our irresponsibility as human race, and Greenville does not intend to further the damages in our nature. We hope that our efforts would eventually make a positive impact to our environment.
