How Greenville’s Desiccated Coconut are Made
Greenville believes that excellence in product starts as early as the first steps, so we choose nothing but only freshly harvested coconuts that are delivered to our factory within 48 hours right after harvest. The coconuts are de-shelled and the meat are cleaned from its attached brown testa and then fine grated. After pasteurization, the grated coconut meat undergoes drying and moisture reduction. To assure the highest quality, the granules pass through series of magnets before entering the packaging stage.
Our desiccated coconuts are packed in multi-ply kraft paper bags with inner sealed polyliner. You can also avail our product with additional outer polywoven (PP) packaged bags if requested. Our premium desiccated coconuts are available in toasted and/or sweetened variants. Our products are also available in macaroon or fine, medium, shred, flakes, and chips cut which are packed in 25 pounds, 100 pounds, 12.5 kilos, 25 kilos, and 50 kilos bags.
